Danish translation

I'm currently working on a danish translation for 1.8.2, so far I'm at 50% correctly translated, and the last half is untranslated or fuzzy translated.

After that I'll translate 1.9.0 (it'll take a few weeks due to college) and definition files.

i strongly advise against translating 1.8.2. i don't think there will be any releases for the 1.8 branch anymore. you better start with 1.9.0 right away. sorry for the work you did in vain :-P

Sir! Yes Sir!

I'm already at it. Luckily at lot of my translation work done on 1.8.x can be used with hardly any modifications (with certain exceptions).

Status (after less than one hour of work):

Untranslated: 35,4 %
Fuzzy translations: 30,3%
Translated: 34,3 %

And now it's almost weekend :D

sounds good. thanks for your work. if you manage to complete it until the 8th or 9th, you can count on 1.9.1 speaking danish ;-)

Well, I'll se what I can do. Some of the texts are a bit tricky, due to danish inconsistency in regard to use of words :P

Anyway, status now, after I've spent a few hours (including yesterday):

Translated texts: 63,9 %
Fuzzy texts: 12,8%
Untranslated texts: 23,3 %

I can probably finish it this weekend - who needs to party anyway

Well, I didn't manage to finish the danish translation.

I got stuck at about 90% translated, due to classes beginning.

All those Use Cases, Class Diagrams, SSD and Domain Models really take my time. But now I've got some days off, so I think I can manage to finish the translation sometime tomorrow (or the day after tomorrow).

I'm also advocating for the game, trying to get my friends hooked ;)

90% is not bad, i could've included it in 1.9.2 today ;-)

I haven't even noticed the 1.9.2 release , but translation continues on the 1.9.2 release then .

There's a few strings removed and a few strings added, so this means that translation is at 87,4 %.

I don't think I will translate the company names, since this would look weird if you're using the danish version with a foreign country definition.

I actually think company names ought to be transferred to the country definitions rather than as a part of the .po-file.

Just my 2 cents.

i disagree. we don't have a translator for each of the country files who could do the company names; besides, i'd like to keep the defs as simple as possible. and the names going with the companies are taken from the names file, so when you play with spain, you get a spanish name and a danish company 'type', which isn't that awkward. you just have the impression that the company got translated for you, like 'Pedroso Cars' -> 'Pedroso Automobils' or so.

sounds good, keep it up :-)

Danish translation done. And sent by mail.

Company names not translated - the tradition issue.

Next step --> live game comments.

Have you fixed the spelling error in: "Test an XML commmentary file" or should I translate it with the extra m ;)
