Just to remember where did my former players go, where the new ones came from, how much I paid/received, etc. May be even better if all transfers and player additions (i.e., to and from other teams, not just mine) to the game can be recorded.

Nice idea, although it'd be hard to record transfers between CPU teams, since they don't happen

Can we at least track the ones that are controlled by human players.
