More shortcuts

I'm a lazy manager. Hence, I'd like some shortcuts to do some intelligent player rotation strategies (similar to the C shortcut). For example, it could do things like:

- Put the strongest team on the field, which would put the available players with the highest skills on the field, regardless of their health

- Put the weakest team on the field

- Put the healthiest team on the field would put the players with 100% regardless of skills. When all the 100% players are on the field, it would go to the next healthiesté If two players with the same percentage are available, it would pick the most skillful first.

Of course, if you have more than one goalie, only one of them should be on the field, unless you run out of healthy players.

P.S. How long does it take before I can log in with my real name?

hm.. i don't know. you've made this feature request before, right? but one of the biggest parts of playing a football manager is putting together the team! and your shortcuts sound very much like the computer putting together your best team. i'm very doubtful about them.

what do you others think?

Well,

When i'm playing, i'm not all time using best player, it's depend on the two next match, important or not : it's my strategy for being best team ;-).

If next match are not important, i ask computer to set the team and replace bad player...

So as Gyboth said, "im very doubtful about them..."

Well, for example, if I have four player under 80%, I'm going to change all four player regardless of who I'm playing. When that happens, I usually put only healthy players on. Then, if it's an important match I may remove some of the helthy, less-skilled players. But that would require manipulatin one player instead of three or four.

In real life, I'd just tell the players, "Look, you guys need a break. Sit down. Players A, B, C and D, you haven't played for a while, go!"

I only want it for very basic and straightforward changes, the same way you can rotate formations with C. The computer isn't choosing the formation for you, it's just making it faster. In the end, that's what I want this feature to do. Rotate between "Healthiest team", "Strongest team", "Weakest team". Anything else, you have to do manually.

I can see what your getting at but I like the "team manipulation" phase of the game. I dont think its ever as simple as just replacing all weak players or putting in your best squad. As I go thru the team I notice things which need attention. I think you might miss this if computer swapped stuff.

what division are you playing btw?

anything lower than the top league is a constant ballance of fitness, skill and lack of money to have "spare" players. I wish I had the option to swap all 4 unfit players but most of the time (in the lower divs) I just dont have the man power. I cant see that your request would help me out.

Ill keep it mind, next few games I play, with your perspective.

I find it often is. Maybe I'm not a sophisticated-enough player. Now, for example, I have sixteen players only. I had to contract a large load to improve my stadium and in order to repay it, I was forced to sell some players. So now, I can't afford to let my blayers get hurt. So my strategy, until I have money, is to replace my unhealthiest players at every turn, no matter what happens with my formation.

The computer shouldn't swap stuff automatically, only when I ask.

Segunda, spanish league. I started in the lowest league. Now, I realize that I'm missing seats in order to generate money (I only have 15K seats).

Once again, it maybe because I'm not a sophisticated player. It seems to me that I'm often doing the same types of player changes and, just like any programmer, I become lazy and I want to make it faster. Unfortunately, I haven't coded in C in ages and I've never done any GTK programming.

i'm still against it, because of the reasons i mentioned (Bygfoot being simple as it is, you haven't got anything to do if even your team gets put together automatically) . of course, if there'll be more users backing you up later, i'll comply. until then, feature request rejected ;-)
