For anyone interested, I made a USA definition that takes reported off-season changes, including but not limited to the creation of the Toronto MLS team, into account.

As long as I haven't made a mistake, it can be downloaded here:
http://chunter.homeip.net/bygfoot/usa2007.tgz

Feel free to report issues and request other archive formats where necessary.

Have fun

(P.S.- A debugged Argentina is forthcoming.)

Hi,

I added your definitions to the new unstable version.

USA 2007, now with SuperLiga

Made changes to SuperLiga and updated the way some cup matches behave, so it now plays much more smoothly.

http://chunter.homeip.net/bygfoot/usa.tgz

I've decided to make http://chunter.homeip.net/bygfoot/ the place where I will keep my definitions as I make them, where each individual tarball by date posted is arranged in an organized fashion (eg. usa-year-month-day.tgz) and a symbolic link (eg. usa.tgz) always points to the latest one, for convenience.

Hopefully, DynDNS and my computer will cooperate. 8)

New 2007 definition I loaded into Bygfoot, it crashed!

USA 2007 build crashed after I had it extacted into
definitions. It was the one with the Toronto team added.
Here is the message I got:

** (bygfoot:7706): WARNING **: file_find_support_file: file 'league_honduras1_short.xml' not found.

(bygfoot:7706): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_file_get_contents: assertion `filename != NULL' failed

** (bygfoot:7706): WARNING **: xml_league_read: error reading file (null)

Any assistance let me know, or I'll wait till the 2.1.1 Bygfoot is available shortly with your new files.

I tested the actual definitions (http://chunter.homeip.net/bygfoot/usa.tgz) with the head revision of subversion. It works.

During the migration of the sources from cvs to subversion some files got lost ;-(

league_honduras1_short.xml (the file of your error message) was one of them. Now all files are in the head revision of subversion.

If you want, I can build you an new package of the head-revision for testing.

An other way to the head-revision is the command “svn co https://bygfoot.svn.sourceforge.net/svn ... 2-unstable bygfoot”.

I added the actual definitions to subversion for the next unstable version.

Thought I'd try the subversion, but the link didn't work.

Tried going to your link and trying the subversion, but if your
going to try to get a debian package ready within the next week
or so I'll wait.

Love the game, and I do look forward to the new version and
its nuances and definition changes.

This definition should work with the two-match week tags from the SVN. Many thanks for tackling the bugs and issues, as now I understand how the feature works a little better and I think I know why I was running into as many problems as I did.

The scheduling in this definition more accurately matches the April through October (at the latest, many of the minor leagues are through by August) season that pro soccer follows in the USA, which is much more compressed than the old definition may have implied. It also contains the new teams and realignment moves of the lower leagues as mentioned earlier.

Thanks for everything

Mistake fixed

Found out through playing that I had the SuperLiga only containing two teams from USA and four from Mexico, it should contain four of each.
