buy players with finished contract

Post by idcarlos »

Hi.

I the game a player can reuse to renove the contract, and leave the team when finnish it.

 What do your think about make a 10% of players "free" in the transfer window?

that'd be more realistic, for sure. but it's also make the game too easy, imho. so i rather vote for no.

yes free in the TL woudl be abit too easy..especially at 10%, it might work if it was an occasional random event. Keen users who watch things should be reworded for their toil compared to those that just move players around and play matches.

however what if??

when you search the players list(of other teams) it indicates (occasionaly) that a player is in this predicament. again rewarding keen users.

maybe you pay him out instead of being free. say he is no longer accepting a contract his contract was 2 years and he was worth 2million and has 4 weeks to go on his current contract and a simple prorata like calc, 2mil/104(weeks in contract) * weeks to go in contract ($76,923)

also the chances of finding a really good player on a free list is pretty remote so i dont think it would upset the top end of the league but it might be a sublte boost to those down the ladder.

Any one who reads the real football news knows this sorta thing happens all the time.. they pick up an out of age player or someone who is getting first team play and to them its a real bonus and they have worked hard by finding them..
for eg the 3 players that Portsmouth have just bought off of Spurs.

no doubt Redknap was poking his nose about looking at teams to see what they had. would be nice if we could emulate this somehow.

Free agency means bidding wars

Post by chunter »

If you simulate the effects of having contracts expire, it means you have to simulate the intense bidding market that goes with it. It'd be like having two 'transfers' pages, is that something we want?
