Ok as england I got to the last 16 and played against france. who whipped me by 2 goals. as I was close to the end I wanted to see who eventually won.

anyway once i was beaten by france I had to go to fixtures view to see what was happening next (i had no opposition and therfore a white screen). it would be nice if it automatically displayed the next lot of results. then waited for you to hit "next week" to display the next round. Rather than just calculating all the results and leaving us with a winner in one go.
I realise this may take too long for an impatient user or for one who lost early on. But i think once your into the knock out stages the final is only a few clicks away and making the user click to proceed may keep a little sparkle left for them.

What type are you?
i'm not sure i understand you, but if what you're saying is, 'i don't want to have the results calculated all at once when my team doesn't have any matches anymore but want the weeks and week rounds to proceed one by one', there's an option for that. it's called 'skip weeks when no user matches' or so.
