png image corrupt

Post by vector »

Oh dear it seems Im not going to win anything today.
I downloaded some of my icons into the /pixmaps
and noticed under gnome file browser that the icon dosent appear. I can click on it tho and the viewer brings it up fine.

I then tried to import it into gimp and I got an file corruption error.
I then renamed it to a bygfoot png and ran bygfoot
I got an image error.

I tried a few more of my images and got the same result

However my transfer list icon is ok!

Me thinks its something to do with the make background transparent.

Yes confirmed its the transparent background or in fact the different palette I have to use which enables theability to be transparent. As you can see the avatar i use is transparent and viewing correctly here however in gnome file manager I see notin. and in bygfoot I get notin. and in winxp anything, its fine so I suspect its a GTK and palette problem.
:sigh:
