1.9 Space before names

Post by atd »

Before some names (in the german league) stands a space, so you have names like ' Schmidt' and commentary like ' Schmidt has the ball'. I had looked in the xml file, but there isn't a name with a space before it.

seems like there's a bug in the cut-away-first-name function. does it only occur in the german league? and what's the first name of that schmidt guy?

I just tried a game with a german team and could not reproduce the bug. Could it be a problem with the utf-8 encoding, for example if the first name ends with a vowel with an umlaut or something ?
Why not store the first and last names as two different strings ?

yeah, that's why i asked about the chap's first name. could be a jürgen, for instance :-P

because the live game commentary is the only place we need them separately, everywhere else we have both names.

It was 'Martin '(with a space after it). I have checked the xml file and fixed it.:D
