boy, i'm growing old. never heard of the last two and never heard other than the name of the first one.

i don't listen to a lot of music lately but i like pink floyd, dire straits, a bit of david bowie, tori amos, electric light orchestra and some electronic music like jean-michel jarre or vangelis.

i guess you young pups never heard of these :-D

not so much on david or tori but the others rock
you have to add Mike Oldfield to a list like that surely?

also check the background image to my music site
http://mec-symonds.eng.monash.edu.au/~a ... icntro.htm

not a great fan of Iron maiden but being a bass guitarist youve gotta hand it to the dude. trying to follow some of his riffs brings out the animal in me ;) he drives a mean song.

tubular bells in quadraphonic .. first album I have had ;)
Jethro tull !!! ooh yea gotta add him in there. I know a flutist and some times we jam his stuff ;)

local talent? lets see ...erm
ohh of course The Armchair Critics ;)

The Armchair Critics, I recomend, and i'm waiting their world tour. :-)

From Australia i like Midnight Oil and INXS :-) Now, i remember only this bands.

About Jethro Tull, i recommend 20th Aniversary, this is the best play. For fans, i think the Aqualung and Tick as a Brick are the classics.

I don't know if someone like Gothic Metal, but my favorite band is Therion, and my favorite play is Vovin and Draconian Trilogy song. :-)

Iron Maiden have a football team also, hehehe, you could see their uniform at http://www.eddiesmegastore.com/images/s ... _SHIRT.jpg

As far as I am concerned, mostly scandinavian metal. My favorite bands of all times:
Opeth, Dream Theater, Draconian, Nine Inch Nails, Dimmu Borgir, Samael, Gehenna, Sonata Arctica.
But there are an enormous lot of other very good ones. The three albums I would bring with me to a desert island:
Dream Theater - Metropolis Part 2, Scenes from a memory
Nine Inch Nails - The Fragile
Samael - Ceremony of opposites

At first, welcome for bygfoot community Lomion!
It's good to see people from other countries here. :-)

Yes, i agree, Metropolis part 2 is one of the best plays i've heard. I went two times in Dream Theater concerts in Brazil, and their concert is fantastic. Mr. Miyoung playing his 6 cords bass in solo sincronized with John Petrucci is amazing. :-)

Thank you for the warm welcome. :)
I bought the DT DVD at Budokan and it's really great. The keyboard solo is amazing, too. All the contrary of Opeth who are very good in studio but completely crap on live (I mean the singer has no frontman talent).
