as its diabolicaly difficult now to purchase new players, can we at least have the previous fee offer remembered?
In the first offer the scout should give us and recomendation, as it does. In the next week it should say your last offer of $$$$$ and wage of $$$$ was rejected.
Trying to remember what I offered last when im juggling 2-3 transfers is hard without writing it down somewhere.

Id also like to mention again that the transfer system is not nice. Having to wait a week is one thing, having only 3 chances when there are two variables is plain nasty. the least you could do is indicate which (fee or wage or both) was rejected. I think this would more accurately mimick life. where a team may agree on the transfer fee but the wage would be negotiated with different managers.

The current transfer system is biased towards rich teams and teams with plenty of time to waste on negotiation.

Another scenario. I needed to purchase two players.. I certainly cant afford the skill loss to sell my players first in this instance. Im not going to take out a loan for a possible 3 weeks while I negotiate for two players (1of which I can afford outright but the other will require the sale of my player) only to loose in negotiation and then get left stranded with a loan and no players. It would be nice if at least I get offered the chance to take out a loan if the offer is accepted. In this current system I was able to purchase the first player but the second was rejected cause i had no money. A loan to tied me over while I sell the other player is all i needed.

also just had a first offer rejected and the player was taken off the transfer list.. I thought I got 3 attempts at him ;(

i've added this now. if your offer gets rejected you can see the fee and wage you offered and which one (or maybe both) wasn't accepted.

i've also increased the time players spend on the list, on average it's 5.5 weeks now (4 at least, 7 at most). the number of players that come onto the list is lowered, so that it doesn't get too packed

i hope this makes it a bit easier to negotiate.

how about i add an option to take out a loan automatically if it's possible to buy a player with a loan? you could switch it on from time to time when you're not sure you'll have enough money to buy a player.

a good idea.(but also see other post)

In the scenario above (where I wanted two players and lost the 2nd thru lack money)
I was able to
Put one of my players on the TL,
take out a loan
make another offer on the 2nd player
play the next week,
and bingo got my man>
put my second unwanted on the TL
played the next week
and then was able to accept both offers on both my players.
paid off the loan done

It does work its just very long winded. Ill try the new system with your cahnges it should be much better ..ta

I thought that was the case.
In 1.8 when i "really" needed/wanted a player(generally this happend in the lower leagues). I would save the game, make a bid and if I failed i would reload the game and try again. this is because I would always let my scouts assesment go first. I would then up it if need be, having no idea what the price target was it was like finding needles in a haystack. I certainly didnt have the funds to make outlandishly high offers.

er.. i didn't implement the changes yet. was just an idea. maybe they'll even have to wait until 1.9.1.

of course not. players you don't make offers for would stay on the list forever otherwise.

if you have the best scout, you don't need outlandishly high offers. he can over/underestimate only by 5%.
