When you play a live game you can't see on what side things happen. I suggest putting the text to the left for home team and to the right for away team.

that's what that dark blue bar is for, so that you know who's in possession of the ball. on the picture, london is in possession. if london loses possession, the bar becomes gray and the grey bar on the opposite side becomes dark blue.

EDIT: You can make alse a culomn with the name of the team.

oh, if that's the problem, you should change the live game speed (the spinbutton in the lower right corner; or, in the options menu).
