1) When not in use, disable arrow buttons on top or add a feature.
e.g: When i'm on main screen the top arrow right can show the information about the opponent next and next.
2) On "Show Finances" option, i think the view from 1.8 is good as 1.9, because in 1.8 we can see a summary of Finances with all information wages and stadium.
3) In Tables, the 1.8 view with colored backgraound is so beauty then the 1.9
4) I don't understand why exists two couple of arrows on top.
5) One of the main links i use on 1.8 is the combo box with quick links(Figures, Fixtures, Tables), i think this enhance the access for various features.
6) Put back again on button bar the Finances quick link.
7) I suggest to use on buttons the same position style used on GNOME. This is just an usability suggestion.
e.g: Button cancel at left and ok at right and both posicioned on right bottom corner of dialog window. Like "Run Application" Dialog box.
Well, i know the version 1.9 is a CVS version, and so, this comments is just my opinion about some features, and sorry for my poor and bad portuguenglish.

Changing team
When i receive a proposal to move to another team, the position and points on table is the same of my old team, but not the players.
e.g:
Week 16: My Team is Itapipoca and i have Deshaun on Attack.
Week 17: I was moved to Sergipe, but Deshaun don't appear on Attack of Itapipoca's
I think, it's very good, should be an additional option, when you change your team the player on another teams is the same.

maybe i'll hide them when in main mode.Oki wrote:1) When not in use, disable arrow buttons on top or add a feature.

there were those who criticised the finances in 1.8. i guess we'll work on them together for 2.1 or so.2) On "Show Finances" option, i think the view from 1.8 is good as 1.9, because in 1.8 we can see a summary of Finances with all information wages and stadium.
true, but internally it's simpler now than in 1.8. the code is clearer, so i'll stick with it for a while.3) In Tables, the 1.8 view with colored backgraound is so beauty then the 1.9
because sometimes one pair can be used to switch between leagues/cups, e.g. when looking at fixtures (the other pair is for the week then).4) I don't understand why exists two couple of arrows on top.
i suggest you use the keyboard shortcuts (F4, F5 etc.). you can also request new shortcuts5) One of the main links i use on 1.8 is the combo box with quick links(Figures, Fixtures, Tables), i think this enhance the access for various features.
how about pressing the 'f' button?6) Put back again on button bar the Finances quick link.
dunno. personally i like it a lot better to have OK on the left.7) I suggest to use on buttons the same position style used on GNOME. This is just an usability suggestion.

that's not a problem (especially if you deliver your brazilian country files soon )Well, i know the version 1.9 is a CVS version, and so, this comments is just my opinion about some features, and sorry for my poor and bad portuguenglish.
thanks a lot. it's not really a matter of choice, why should i risk being sued, and additionally, prevent the program from being added to official distributions? so it's quite clear that official packages may not contain official team names.About the team names,
I'll make two versions of brazil league packages, by the way, you should choose the version would you like to pack the program.

i can't be sure the user leaves his team intact (he could have left the team with only 11 players, for instance), so the old team gets regenerated. it's simply too complicated to implement a 'team health' check and use it every time the user changes his team.

Well, sometimes my portuguenglish doesn't explain my ideas.
The idea is, i'll make definitions files to be added in official package without official team names, and also, i'll make definitions files with official team names. If you couldn't host this on sourceforge, i can provide some space on my blog.

no, i did understand you. i just wanted to say that it's not really a matter of choice on my sideOki wrote:Well, sometimes my portuguenglish doesn't explain my ideas.
not necessary, i can host it at the homepage. but i've had an even better idea in the meantime: maybe it'd be possible to add a tag <official_name> to the league and cup definition files. by default, the unofficial name gets loaded, but the user can edit the conf file to make the program load the official ones. maybe it wouldn't be a problem with licenses if the default setting is to load unofficial names, and additionally the user has to do some manual editing to get the program to load the official ones (the option wouldn't be included in the options gui). The idea is, i'll make definitions files to be added in official package without official team names, and also, i'll make definitions files with official team names. i'm going to ask the debian maintainer about this.

won't work, he said. the official package shouldn't contain official names, period. we'll need two versions of the country files (though i'll be happy to have one version (with inofficial names), too).gyboth wrote:i'm going to ask the debian maintainer about this.
