Game is getting sluggish

Game is getting sluggish

After some saving and restoring the game get sluggish and ending the game and then restart is the only cure. How come?

At least this is the case in 2.2.1 wich is the only version that has been possible to install on my FEDORA system ( FEDORA 11 X86_64)

I've never had this, but I run 2.2.3, so it's not representative. If I recall correctly 2.3.1 had some memory leaks which could cause the slowdown.
