There maybe a problem with the recruiting preference.
if you set it to say DEF then wait until you get a DEF then set it for say FWD you end up getting another def b4 you get the FWD.

Isn't it logical? If you already started recruting DEF, you will get DEF first. Otherwise you will be able to change your preference a week before getting new young player.

I know this is an old post, but I recently found a bug where the preference is not saved (see bugs sections). This might have been due to that. The moment you save/reload (even with the current version) the preference is lost.
