well..
I don't know the strength of Australia, but I know a bit about Uruguay. So no good odds from me, due to lack of knowledge about the australian team.
But the ball is round so who knows

We survived better than I expected but allthough we were courageous and brave we were out classed all the way. We have no real fire power up front. Hesitation with the ball indicates we have no where to take it once we have it.
Still 1v0 isnt too bad and away from home is a respectable score in any game so lets see what our home advantage brings us.

Congratulation Australia, you did better than the Belgians (who were third and weren't qualified for play-offs )sport.be wrote:1v0 Australia wins in the penalties

A different team walked out onto the arena last night. The courage and belief was still there but their game changed. It had evolved. They were no longer playing under Urguay but alongside. We grew up as it were. Fought a brilliant battle and held the nerves. Amazing. great spectacle !! The aussie media was rampant with chorus of wonder and hope. Lets just assume that Soccer(football) will no longer remain "the other football" but become "the football" in this land down under.
In the media it even pushed aside the cricket hype, thats a big jump here.

Socceroos not bad
I forget what year it was, but I want to say about six years ago (correct me based on some math on whenever Youth World Cup is held) the Joeys (the adult team is nicknamed Socceroos, kangaroo babies are joeys) made the last four. Don't remember what side ousted them but I imagine by now all those players should be mature.
Wouldn't put any money on them though.

Urugay is better than Aussie. Aussie never can do more to meet American Club. That why they moved to Asian Group.
