i suggest you use the keyboard shortcut (i believe F5) for the table view. adding yet another button is something i'd like to avoid because the interface is rather packed already ;-) and, after a week's matches were played and the match summary is shown, there is a tables button below the right tree...

sorry to disappoint you :-( the result of the game is independent of the injuries and cards. first the game result gets calculated, and then the injuries and cards get 'distributed'. so there isn't such a thing like 'automatic substitution' at all. but i'm hoping to make this more realistic in 1.9. ...
