Re: Would you like to participate in the forum?

The upgrade of phpBB broke my scripts that enabled the mail to function correctly. You might have missed notifications due to this.

The forum was broken after a php upgrade. I updated to the latest version. If something doesn't work, notify me.

Re: Would you like to participate in the forum?

So, the scripts broke again, gmail doesn't allow to send mails without OAUTH authentication. The scripts have finally been fixed.
It has already caught up with the messages.

Re: Mingw Builds Available for Windows

We used to always have mingw builds in the past. That's what worked best.

Re: Bug in cup tag <group> check with teams of similar names in the same group

Hopefully you can share the code with gunnar so he can use it in his java version. I'm afraid to say, I'm not sure if that java version will ever come to be. The reasons for a rewrite were primarily: to give me a fun project where I would feel like working on after work hours. And hopefully attract...

Re: What Operating Systems should be targets for the next builds

We used to have Windows, Generic Debian, generic RPM and Macos builds.
But the last one was always problematic.

Re: User Interface Redesign

Yes, that was me ( https://mobile.twitter.com/retromatn/status/1351268613764898818 for reference) However porting Bygfoot to anything else than the c code it is right now, is nigh impossible. I'm keeping an eye on the things produced by @tstellard I'm still eyeing that full java rewrite (and I was m...

I will look at this after the rewrite to java. I think I see where this can happen. The whole id system has to be retaught.

Re: svn2git conversion plus a few improvements

Your changes are nice indeed. You're at a point where we should issue a new build.
But then we would need to refresh our anonymised definitions.

Re: Idea for official league definitions in bygfoot

We used to have this: https://bygfoot.sourceforge.io/new/additional-download/ Basically we provided the definitions without names in the dowload package, then you have the file in previous link to update the names. However this file is incredibly old. More documentation about how this works is in ht...

Re: svn2git conversion plus a few improvements

Nice. I have to admit I'm not really working on bygfoot ATM. When the corona mess started I had a surge of good will (I don't find the right words in English, but I hope you understand what I mean.) to start working on it again, but working from home drained that quickly. I'll take a look at what yo...

Re: New version?

Program wise, the only substantial change was that the zipping unzipping would work better in Windows, for Linux users, nothing would change. That;s not entirely true, but due to way Linux works, the command line tool used in Bygfoot worked without hitching on Linux. The files that were added were f...

Re: New version?

Yes, I still play. In Belgium we play a version of futsal (indoor soccer) where you're not supposed to make contact. (While futsal is just miniature football with mostly the same rules, imagine sliding tackles indoor  ) The age range of players in our competition is between 14 and 64. I'm 4...
