I tried to do it by the book (i.e. the Site Docs) but it didn't work
Neither Puttying to web.sourceforge.net with my sf.net username and password nor with "username, bygfoot" worked.

Re: Real names link is corrupted
For some reason, I can't log in to the webspace to look for the file and the problem. Could you help, Gunnar?

Re: authentic squads for Serie A season 2010/2011
When 2.3.3 , you said 1 may, but currently we are in 6 may. I think you're still not getting that gunnar does all this in his free time from the goodness of his heart -- just like I did when I was main developer. And gunnar, next time just do it like the Wesnoth guys and say "IIRWIIR" (it...

Re: international teams question
Not that I know of. I don't know off the top of my head why it shouldn't work the same way as normal country defs, as long as you add the def tags to the correct league files.

Re: international teams question
I think it's possible. I assume you're talking about teams that only appear in cups; these teams also get loaded from league files, the string id of which is specified in the cup file. The connection is country file: contains cup sid : contains choose_team section: contains league sid : contains tea...

Re: authentic squads for Serie A season 2010/2011
Excuse me? Now you're being out of bounds yourself. I doubt this forum is a totalitarian state where one can't express their opinions. I have every right to criticize him too. Again, just to be clear: of course you may criticize, as long as you stay rational and polite. Pointing out that a particul...

Re: authentic squads for Serie A season 2010/2011
Ok, let me clarify a bit: I don't like a post like "Thanks, but no thanks", because it's not criticism, it's unwarranted sarcasm, particularly given the fact that nobody forces you to download the defs that were posted. If you don't like it, don't download it. No need to flame. And Alyn, r...

Foss, stop trolling, or you'll get banned. Even if we suppose you're right, I'll take a nice and polite participant in the community with mediocre definitions over a troll with excellent defs any day.

Re: authentic squads for Serie A season 2010/2011
I don't get why you're railing at each other, people. For one, player's ratings can't be objective, anyway. And second, nobody'll be forced to use the definitions created by either of you. Take it or leave it, no need to get mad at each other.

Re: Skill and talent
Can you explain how you calculate skill and talent in knowing that I have retrieved the values of players for the 2011 season and the age of the players through this table. Well, the details are rather technical (see bygfoot_constants file and the function player_skill_from_talent() in player.c), b...

True. 1.5 years ago I don't do them anymore, however. Your odds of getting one are better if you just try to tinker with it yourself.filipemb wrote:well, you did the last mac package

Re: Real Names for Database
That would be great. Have a look at http://bygfoot.sourceforge.net/new/doc/def_howto.html and don't hesitate to ask away here if you run into problems.Foss wrote:I'd be happy to create updated definitions, and possibly real players, too.
